By optimizing the domestic and international payments system as well as the interest-optimizing funds placement, this Austrian subsidiary achieved unexpectedly large savings. Currently, Cash Management Benchmarking is being carried out for many of the subsidiaries in CEE and Western Europe.

In the initial meeting in 1999, the client was skeptical of the possibilities for Finance Tuning in his company. The first Cash Management Benchmarking indicated to management a surprisingly high potential, which was immediately implemented with the support of FinanceTuner®. Following the success in Austria, Benchmarking was also carried out during the subsequent years in most of the CEE subsidiaries. For Knauf CEE, it has become a fixed component in the Cash Management.

Following the start in Austria, the Controller recommended FinanceTuner® to the subsidiaries of the Group. It was left to them to decide whether to make use of the FinanceTuner® service or not. In the meantime, the list of satisfied Finance Managers stretched from Slovakia over Hungary and Croatia to Serbia.
